Happiness is a Worn Pun
I slay me.
Happiness is personal, specific things for specific persons. It's what soothes and heals and balances and supports. It's those little cure-all's that never let you down.
For SE:
A few of mine:
Early 70s funk and Peter Gabriel
Raku pottery and toy cameras
Warm colors and cool breezes
Dark chocolate, rhubarb pie, and...

i LOVE raku pottery, dark chocolate and grilled cheese sandwiches too!
ahhh, the simple pleasures in life...

I'm now off to look up raku pottery, and then make a grilled cheese sammich, mmm. :)
I'll have one raku pot to go, hold the grilled cheese.
Ah, the cult of raku. Who knew?
Gordo, of course you can't have grilled cheese with your raku. It's not food safe!
I don't know what raku is, but I mustr say that crappy grilled cheese sandwhiches are my love. American cheese (won't touch the stuff any other way-I can be a cheese snob outside of grilled cheese's) and white bread with fries, and a whiskey-coke. Ahhhh, heaven (even without the whiskey-coke)
What a lovely post, Manxome! Thank you, I really needed that. :)
Lost Clown--
Raku is a Japanese style of pottery, characterized by low firing temperatures. The glazes used usually contain lead, so don't eat your grilled cheese off of Raku plates.
Most work done in raku tends toward the traditional, but of course there's a lot you can do with it. See here.
Damn, Gordo, you linked to some gorgeous ones. This one has me drooling like mad.
I need a horsehair one. I've got the crackle, the glossy metallic, and the smoky matte metallic.
Eek! (excuse me, it took me an hour to find this site that I ran across a few years ago) My ultimate goal is to own one of Ron Mello's burnished pieces. It's like polished stone.
Gawd, I can't even think straight now. That stuff is like kryptonite for me! Anyone have about $300 to spare?
